The father of AI as a guest in Munich

The baiosphere, the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML), TUM.ai, the LMU and TU Munich, and the Research Institute of the Deutsches Museum invite you to experience the renowned scientist, developer, and entrepreneur Prof. Jürgen Schmidhuber. The researcher spoke on “Thoughts on Artificial Intelligence” at LMU on July 14.

His lecture on the origins of Deep Learning, Generative Adversarial Networks and LSTM networks gave the audience insights into the genesis of modern AI systems.

Schmidhuber, dubbed the “father” of artificial intelligence by the New York Times, revolutionized machine learning and AI with his neural networks.

His specially founded company – NNAISENSE, aims to create the first practical general-purpose AI. Schmidhuber has special ties to Bavaria through his education at the Technical University of Munich and his appointment as an international member of the Bavarian AI Council.

The lecture as part of the Munich AI Lectures is an absolute highlight and the AI community in Munich is looking forward to the return of the “Dad of AI”.
