fortiss is a renowned research institute for software-intensive systems and services of the Free State of Bavaria. It focuses primarily on the development of intelligent and cognitive technologies.

The InnovationLab in the IT department supports the city administration in digitization with new approaches. Pioneering technologies and novel ideas are being tested together with the departments, municipal enterprises and citizens of Munich, as well as with a network of partners in industry, politics and science, in order to bring digitization within reach for a Munich of the future.

The Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities. The LRZ supports research and teaching in a wide range of scientific disciplines with state-of-the-art IT technologies. It is one of the largest data centers in Europe and a national and European supercomputing center.

Mission KI (National Initiative for Artificial Intelligence and Data Economy) links research and initiatives, and aims to give the local data economy the boost it needs. The initiative, which is managed by acatech, is one of the flagship projects of the German federal government´s digital strategy. 

Women in AI & Robotics is a non-profit association registered in Munich, Germany, that is committed to the equality of women in AI and robotics. As a network, Women in AI & Robotics is active throughout Germany and increasingly in Canada. Its offerings to the community range from events, workshops, to mentoring and any formats that help make AI and robotics co-creators more diverse.

The XR HUB Bavaria, funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs, strengthens Bavaria as a media and business location. With locations in Munich, Nuremberg and Würzburg, the initiative is dedicated to the diverse applications of XR technologies.
