DInO project gets underway - joining forces for digital transformation in eastern Bavaria

As a new partner in the DInO (Digital Innovation Ostbayern) project, the Bavarian AI Agency is using its expertise from the baiosphere to support SMEs in the rural areas of eastern Bavaria in implementing artificial intelligence (AI) tools and methods. This is a milestone on the way to a future-oriented economy and a great success for the baiosphere – the Bavarian AI Network.

While the Technical University of Deggendorf is the project leader of DInO, the other partners include the East Bavarian Technical University of Regensburg and R-Tech GmbH. Together, they are joining forces to make eastern Bavaria a hotspot of digital innovation. The European Commission is funding the project with around 4 million euros.

Starting in November, more than 50 workshops are planned for DInO in collaboration with other EU-funded digitization centers (European Digital Innovation Hubs) throughout Bavaria. “We are looking forward to supporting the transfer of know-how on digitization and artificial intelligence in our workshops and consulting sessions together with our partners from the Bavaria-wide network,” says Michael Klimke, Managing Director of the Bavarian AI Agency. The aim is to help companies exploit the full range of digitization opportunities and strengthen their competitiveness.
