The International For..Net Symposium has been setting standards in the discussion on digitalization for over 15 years. This year, the event was once again held in Munich under the motto “Truth – Power – Rule of Law: Generative AI in the Mirror of Law, Technology and Society”, under the patronage of the Bavarian Minister of State for Justice, Georg Eisenreich, MdL, and in cooperation with the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation (bidt).
This year’s symposium, offered by the 18. to the April 19 will provide a platform for experts and interested laypeople to take a closer look at the legal, technical and social implications of generative AI through presentations and panel discussions. Minister of State Georg Eisenreich opened the symposium with a keynote speech on the topic of “Generative AI: A game changer”.
Generative AI you can touch
On Thursday evening, the baiosphere offered all visitors the opportunity to see innovative AI solutions in action and try them out for themselves as part of the For..Net Lab. Various AI exhibits could be tested live on site in exchange with experts. The exhibits included the MCML with the AMELIE exhibit, the An[ki]t with the Furhat robot head for Conversational AI and the Augsburg AI Production Network with the Recycling Atelier and the ELLSI Learning Lab.
