Women in AI & Robotics - Erlangen-Nürnberg Chapter Launch

Our city lead, Adna Bliek, a doctoral researcher on Human-Robot Interaction and Cognitive Modeling at FAU has chosen the topic of Gender Bias in Artificial Intelligence. To introduce the topic, we will start the event with two short 15 to 20-minute impulse talks. Afterwards, the topic will be further discussed by experts and a moderator in a panel discussion, and we will give the audience the opportunity to ask questions and join in the discussion. Generative AI systems, such as ChatGPT or systems for image generation like DALL-E, are currently being discussed at length in the media and in society, so it is important to us to point out possible biases with these as well and to discuss possibilities for good handling of the new tools and frameworks.
