City-wide AI Event – Applications, Exchange, and Social Dialogue around Artificial Intelligence

With the "Day of AI", Regensburg makes its role as a diverse and committed AI location visible. The aim of the event is to make artificial intelligence tangible for a wide audience and to show how technological innovation concretely arrives in everyday life, in companies, and in society. A special focus is placed on the connection between technological development, practical application, and societal dialogue.

The event uses numerous examples to show how AI contributes to solving real-world challenges—ranging from mobility and education to health, culture, and the economy. At the same time, it provides space for orientation and critical engagement with the opportunities and risks of the technology. Regensburg thus positions itself as an open and responsible location where AI is not only developed but actively disseminated.

The program includes a variety of formats such as workshops, meetups, AI consultations, exhibitions, competitions, and interactive knowledge stations. Universities, companies, start-ups, schools, cultural institutions, and public facilities jointly shape the day. Additionally, the Regensburg AI Certificate is integrated as a low-threshold access to practically impart digital skills.
