Implementing the AI Act: Practical Compliance – 30.09.2026
As part of the Bavarian AI Innovation Accelerator, appliedAI offers free and practical learning paths. The trainings support companies, startups, and public institutions in building AI competencies, understanding the regulatory requirements of the EU AI Act, and implementing them specifically.
Systematically navigate through all phases of AI Act compliance – from the scope examination to ongoing compliance after market launch.
This practice-oriented training shows how the requirements of the EU AI Act can be concretely implemented in organizations. Building on knowledge of risk classes and roles, you are guided step by step through the compliance process – from the scope examination through the operationalization of requirements to proving compliance and monitoring after market launch.
Using a continuous high-risk example, you will learn how the technical requirements according to Articles 9 to 15 interlock during the development process and the importance of human oversight, especially with increasingly autonomous AI agents. In addition, you will learn how roles and associated obligations can change in operation – for example, when an operator significantly alters an AI system and thus becomes a provider.
Learning objectives
You determine the relevant requirements for AI systems and derive specific implementation steps for your organization.
You understand how the technical requirements (Articles 9–15) for high-risk systems interlock during the development process and the role of human oversight, especially with autonomous AI agents.
You distinguish between the different conformity assessment procedures (self-assessment and third-party assessment) and can determine which procedure is applicable when.
Requirements: A basic understanding of the EU AI Act and knowledge of risk classes and roles are required. The training ideally builds upon "AI Act for Beginners" and "Classifying AI Systems."

Target group: The training is aimed at those responsible from SMEs, startups, and the public sector, particularly compliance officers, quality managers, product managers, and decision-makers responsible for the practical implementation of the EU AI Act in their organization.
