Servus, AI! The Bavarian Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence - 16.12.25

Artificial intelligence (AI) is leading to profound changes in the world of work: from the automation of simple tasks to supporting complex decision-making processes. While optimistic voices expect significant increases in productivity, cost reductions, and more attractive job tasks leading to higher job satisfaction, pessimistic voices fear an increase in work intensity, heightened workplace surveillance, a rise in stress levels, and particularly job losses potentially leading to widespread unemployment.
The presentation examines these different perspectives in more detail and highlights specific differences compared to previous waves of automation. Current survey data from Germany will be presented, showing how employees are already using generative AI in the workplace and what experiences and expectations they associate with it. Furthermore, it is shown that new digital skills are required for each employee to cope with this transformation of the working world and to ensure their own employability.

The Bavarian adult education centers and renowned scientific organizations are launching the tour "Servus, AI! The Bavarian Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence" throughout the Free State: Easily understandable lectures and subsequent discussions invite participants to explore, participate, and reflect on various application areas, opportunities, and challenges of AI. This will make it clear what topics, expectations, and ideas are moving the people in Bavaria regarding Artificial Intelligence. At selected adult education centers, citizens will engage in conversations with experts from science and practice.

This is about the central question:

AI - what does it have to do with me, and where does Artificial Intelligence already affect me today?
