WISH2026 – AI-Winterschool – 03.-07.03.2026

The AI Winter School WISH2026 is dedicated to the profound changes that artificial intelligence and digitalization bring to production, reception, and professional profiles in art and culture. For one week, scientists, artists, and students work together in an inter- and transdisciplinary manner to develop new perspectives on AI-supported creative processes, translation, writing, and ethical issues. The Winter School sees itself as an experimental space in which critical reflection and practical work are closely linked.

The focus is on workshops about AI-driven literary translation, new forms of creative writing, trust and ethics in AI systems, as well as technological foundations and programming formats. The program is complemented by keynote speeches, artistic contributions, and the joint development of a digital platform to make the results of the winter school accessible to a broader public. The inspiring environment of the Speinshart Monastery offers space for focused work, exchange, and new ideas.

WISH2026 is explicitly aimed at students from all disciplines, as well as participants from science and artistic practice who wish to actively engage with the digital transformation of culture. The winter school promotes the development of new key qualifications and invites participants to not only critically accompany AI but also help shape its applications in art and society.

Meaningful applications with a resume and cover letter (max. 3000 characters including spaces for the cover letter) will be considered until February 15, 2026.
