Bavarian Data Summit 2026
The Bavarian Data Summit brings together leading minds from industry, technology, research, and politics. The Bavarian AI agency BAIOSPHERE, the centerpiece of the Bavarian AI ecosystem, is represented as a partner. The focus is on how real-time data and AI enable concrete decisions and thus reshape value creation in production and mobility. The program combines strategic impulses on leadership, infrastructure, and digital sovereignty with concrete use cases from Bavaria – from the connected factory to intelligent mobility systems. Targeted are providers of data, AI, cloud, and infrastructure solutions as well as users from OEMs, suppliers, and Mobility Tech, including academia and applied research.
The opening is a keynote by Dr. Andreas Liebl (appliedAI) on decision-making in real-time. Further lectures will be given by Thomas Hahn (Siemens), Dr. Emmanuel Klinger (T-Systems) on digital sovereignty and infrastructure, as well as by Secretary of State Tobias Gotthardt on the Bavarian data ecosystem. Parallel tracks will focus on data-driven systems in mobility, production, industrial business value, and aviation, complemented by start-up pitches, an exhibition, and networking. The conclusion will be an outlook by PD Dr. Jeanette Lorenz (Fraunhofer IKS).
The summit takes place on October 5, 2026, at the Design Offices Munich Macherei. On October 6, there is also the opportunity for an exclusive tour through the Leibniz Computing Center (LRZ), which accompanies the summit as another partner, with insights into supercomputers, quantum computers, and AI infrastructure.
