edih dina – European Digital Innovation Hub | Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence aims to support organizations in finding, testing, financing, and bringing digital technologies into practice. The consortium leader is Bayern Innovativ.

A focus is on the principle "Test before invest": Companies and other organizations can test technologies and applications before making an investment decision. Both technical feasibility and economic potential are considered.

The offer is aimed at SMEs, start-ups, and public institutionsregardless of their current digital maturity level. In addition to AI, topics include IT security, digital production, and deep tech.

Four pillars for digital transformation

The support offer is divided into four areas. Besides testing new technologies, edih dina provides training and expertise to build digital skills within organizations.

Another pillar is dedicated to financing and investments. Here, edih dina assists in finding funding programs, financing options, and investors, as well as preparing relevant projects.

Through networking and innovation ecosystems , companies, research institutions, and other stakeholders are brought together for concrete projects.

Around three million euros from Digital Europe

edih dina is funded with around three million euros as part of the EU program Digital Europe Programme . As the Bavarian hub, the offer is part of the European network of more than 250 European Digital Innovation Hubs.

This is intended to link European funding impulses with concrete digital transformation in Bavaria. The exchange with other European hubs should also facilitate access to additional know-how and innovation ecosystems.

Broad Bavarian AI and innovation network

The consortium includes, alongside Bayern Innovativ, the appliedAI Institute, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR), the Bavarian AI Agency / BAIOSPHERE AGENCY, the Digital Center Swabia, fortiss, as well as the Fraunhofer Institutes IGCV and IIS.

Also involved are the TechBase Regensburg with the Mobility & Logistics and AIR Artificial Intelligence Regensburg clusters, as well as the Digital Founder Initiative Upper Palatinate, the Technical University of Augsburg, and the East Bavarian Technical University of Regensburg.

In total, edih dina offers nearly 100 free services and consulting offers. Interested organizations can first determine the next suitable step for their digitalization or AI project with the hub's experts.
