The Munich company Agile Robots develops intelligent robotic systems for manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare. The portfolio includes robotic arms and the humanoid robot Agile ONE. The goal is to use robots with the help of AI for complex tasks in industrial and other work environments.
With NVIDIA's planned investment, Agile Robots receives support from one of the world's leading providers of AI computing infrastructure.
AI directly in hospital operations
The Munich healthtech startup Avelios Medical is also among the announced participations. The company develops a native AI hospital information system that integrates medical documentation and administrative processes into a central software.
AI functions are to be directly integrated into work processes to relieve doctors and nursing staff of documentation and administrative tasks. This approach sees Avelios Medical using AI not as a separate tool but as part of the hospital software.
NVIDIA expands engagement in Germany
In addition to the two Munich companies, NVIDIA announced planned investments in Mirelo, a developer of AI-generated audio content, and the Berlin-based space company Reflex Aerospace .
The participations are part of an NVIDIA-announced commitment of nearly ten billion US dollars to support companies, universities, and research institutions in Europe. Specific investment amounts for individual startups were not mentioned.
At the Invest in Germany Summit, the German government and NVIDIA also signed a letter of intent to cooperate on physical AI. The focus is on AI models for industrial applications, such as in manufacturing and robotics. Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang subsequently discussed the use of AI in German industry and SMEs.
For the Munich technology location, the announced participations in Agile Robots and Avelios Medical are particularly relevant: Both companies are developing AI products for specific application areas and are now to receive additional support from NVIDIA.
