To prepare the general public for the future field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Kempten University of Applied Sciences makes an important contribution to nationwide further education. A new, practical online course called "Apply AI Practically – Step by Step to Your Chatbot!" is now available for free on the learning platform KI-Campus.

The digital learning offer was developed by Professor Dr. Irene Weber from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Kempten. The course is specifically aimed at beginners who do not have advanced programming knowledge. Following the principle of "learning by doing," basic concepts and practical applications of chatbots and generative artificial intelligence are taught.

Professor Weber, whose teaching area in information systems in mechanical engineering includes the application of AI, Industry 4.0, and open source, also integrates the online course into her own lectures. This allows students to independently and actively explore the functionality and potential of AI.

The main objective of the course is to make the functioning of AI transparent, thereby promoting a realistic assessment of its possibilities and competent application. With this offering on the AI Campus, Kempten University supports the knowledge transfer between science, business, and society, and enables broad, free continuing education in the crucial field of Artificial Intelligence.
