The University of Applied Sciences Munich (HM) has in common with Bavaria's Minister of Health and Care Judith Gerlach the new faculty of study MUC.HEALTH – Munich Campus for Health and Engineering opened. The interdisciplinary campus combines health sciences, engineering, and management with a clear goal: to train professionals who integrate technological innovation, scientific expertise, and human empathy.
MUC.HEALTH is thus responding to the growing demands of an increasingly digitalized healthcare system. In the future, innovations such as Artificial intelligence, data-driven methods, and technical assistance systems faster and more practically arrive in hospitals, care facilities, and home care.
Minister Judith Gerlach emphasized that the new campus makes an important contribution to Academization and Professionalization of Health and Nursing Professions provides and strengthens the integration of digital technologies into everyday care.
Existing study programs such as the Bachelor Applied Nursing Science, the Maîtriser la pratique infirmière avancée and the Master Mental Health will be further developed under the umbrella of MUC.HEALTH. From the winter semester 2026/27, additional programs will be added, including Salud y Ingeniería as well as Digital and Public Health, with a focus on AI applications, human-machine interaction, and data-driven healthcare.
In modern laboratory and simulation environments, students, researchers, and practice partners will in future work together on solutions that are consistently oriented towards real needs. The goal is not to introduce innovations that miss the market, but rather... close to humans to develop.
With MUC.HEALTH, Munich University of Applied Sciences strengthens its role as a driving force for a future-oriented healthcare location.
