The international competition is aimed at innovators developing new technologies for healthcare. Besides AI in Healthcare , solutions from the areas of robotics, laboratory diagnostics, and resilience including cybersecurity are sought. Other digital health innovations can also be submitted.

For AI start-ups, the competition offers a platform particularly for applications around AI-supported health solutions and data analysis.

Pitch at MEDICA and prize money up to 3,500 euros

The selected top medical start-ups will present their solutions on November 17, 2026 at MEDICA Main Stage. The competition also offers contacts to potential investors and business partners, international visibility, marketing support, and advice from technology experts. Successful teams will be awarded prize money of up to 3,500 euros .

Who can participate?

The call is open to innovators from all around the world. The submitted solution must be available in at least one market by the end of the second quarter of 2027 and must not have been launched before 2023. Compliance with the Medical Device Directive or an FDA approval is not required for participation. The application must be in English.

Participation in the competition is free of charge.
