Odeonsplatz München

With the new office, Sierra positions Munich as the base for its activities in the German-speaking region. One reason the company cites for choosing this location is the high concentration of large companies in strongly regulated industries in the area. The growth of Sierra's Munich team is also evident from job openings in areas such as Agent Engineering, Sales, and Sales Engineering.

Sierra is developing a platform that enables companies to use AI agents for interaction with customers . The systems are intended to take on tasks such as product search and consultation, support, or customer retention. Sierra follows an outcome-oriented business model: the focus is on concrete business results rather than the number of tokens consumed.

AI agents for large companies

According to its own information, Sierra already works with one-third of the leading banks, 40 percent of the Fortune 50 companies, and five of the ten largest healthcare organizations. As examples of the implementation of its AI agents, the company cites BBVA, the British retailer Next, and the telecommunications group Singtel.

With the expansion to Munich, the local ecosystem around agentic AI and enterprise-focused AI applications grows by another international player. For Sierra, Munich is also part of a broader international expansion: the company already has offices in San Francisco, New York, London, Singapore, Tokyo, Paris, Madrid, and Toronto.
