The European AI Act is internationally recognized as the pioneering AI regulatory effort acting on a global scale which enters in June the final stage of the legislative journey after multiple years of development. In parallel recent advances in generative AI technology have galvanized the public discourse amidst calls for regulation from developers and stakeholders alike.
The passing of the Turing Test, the implications of agency, and the near immediate impact with 100,000,000s of users are presenting clear challenges to the existing legal frameworks in the EU and elsewhere. In response to these developments, our invitation-only meeting aims to foster a constructive dialogue between international experts to develop effective strategies and policy guidance for cultivating a prosperous and responsible AI ecosystem.
