München • Munich Center for Machine Learning / LMU
Join us and celebrate the accomplishments of the Data Science for Social Good fellowship program with us. For two months, two teams of 4-5 fellows from across the world worked on data science projects that have a social impact: The Katastrophenschutz currently does not have a good tool that shows the range of fire hydrants around Munich. The solution is the development of a Fire Hydrant Range-Finder Web App. The second team created a land sealing dataset and analysed it to better understand climate changes. At the closing ceremony, our outstanding fellows will showcase the impressive projects and outcomes they achieved over the course of the program. We will have an amazing program including a keynote about “Robust data science: lessons learned from medical applications” from Prof. Leah J. Welty - Institute for Public Health & Medicine (IPHAM), Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS). See you there!
